BREATHE is an ongoing fine art photography project that explores life with chronic illness through a deeply personal lens. Diagnosed with stage IV cancer, I began turning the camera on myself and my surroundings as a way to process the physical and emotional toll of survival. But these images are not medical records — they are fragments, atmospheres, and quiet assertions of presence in the face of uncertainty.
At its core, BREATHE is about how we continue — how illness, like any major rupture, reshapes our sense of self, our routines, and our relationships. Though rooted in my own experience, the work speaks to broader human themes: resilience, care, vulnerability, and how we navigate lives altered by forces beyond our control.
