A Home That No Longer Exists
Shot on black and white film in 2009, just before leaving London for Buenos Aires. These images were made as a register — an attempt to hold a place I was about to lose.
London still stands. But the home I knew does not. This work acknowledges what emigration makes clear: you can return to a place, but you cannot recover it. The home that existed when I left is gone — not destroyed, but unreachable.
These photographs are not documentation. They are an acknowledgment of loss that happened without anything actually disappearing.
